Specifications:
- The Hammer H20 release unit consists of a double looped white rope line, a release mechanism and a Red Weak Link™ (breaking strength 2,2 ¡À 0,4kN).
- For smaller life rafts (from "" persons and outside SOLAS regulation) we recommend Hammer H20 Small Rafts model with a special weak link, identified by the green lower thimble (breaking strength 1, 2 ¡À 0, 4 kN).
- For life rafts smaller than 4 persons, please contact the life raft manufacturer.
- The white strong rope of Hammer H20 is secured to the deck or life raft cradle and attached to the life raft lashing with a slip hook.
- If the ship sinks, the water pressure will, within 4 meters, activate the sharp knife which cuts the white strong rope and the life raft will float free.
- As the ship sinks, the life raft painter line will be stretched and the life raft starts to inflate.
- The Red Weak Link™ breaks and survivors can board the floating life raft.
- The Hammer H20 needs no annual service, maintenance or spare parts, but MUST BE REPLACED AFTER TWO YEARS.
- SOLAS 74/96 Convention, Reg. III/4 LSA Code, MO Res. MSC. 48/(66), IMO Res. MSC. 81(70), approved to EU Directive 96/98 EC on Marine Equipment and has a Nato stock number.
